Afghans Past

These afghans and pillows were made in the past.  All were gifts.

This afghan is in shades of blue.  It measures 70" x 50".

Was given as a Christmas gift to the sister of an old boyfriend.

Hmmmm.  I don't remember who this one was made for, but it was by request.  Most tell me what colors they want, and let me design.

This one was a wedding gift in Nov. '03.  The colors on the linked close up are truer colors.  There's deep purple, amethyst, lavender and white.

This afghan is in shades of teal and purple.   It measures approximately 65" x 50.

The customer never paid, so I gave it up for a charity auction.".

When I told my friend about the website, and she realized I would be making these afghans as a side business, she asked to have one as a wedding gift.  Though the colors in the picture aren't really that clear, they are Navy Blue, Light Gray, and White.  She loves it.

After bringing it up to work to get comments, I have a couple of pending orders.  It is very warm and soft.

I loved making this afghan for my brother and his new wife for Christmas 1990.  They use it for watching TV in bed -- it's sized for a couch.

I made this afghan in the mid '80s.  It is laid out on a full-size bed in the picture.  I added a top row of grays (to look like clouds).  It was a gift to my step- grandmother for Christmas.  She adored it!

I made this one when I was 16 (that's 1974).  It was really cool.  I used a broom handle to make the loops (the green and red rows are actually groups of 5 gathered loops each).  I'd love to make another one in your choice of colors.

This afghan is made with white (which is still bright after daily use and 10 years of washing) and yellow ombres (shades).  It is a couch afgan, and has warmed many an afternoon nap. (See below for matching pillows.)

These are pillows that can be made to go with (or without) an afghan.  The pillows on the far right (the yellows) were made to go with afghan pictured above.  They were made as Christmas 1990 presents for my in-laws.  They still use both the afghan (looks almost like new) and the pillows today.  Pillows alone would be $25.  Made with an afghan, would be $15 for two.

This was a custom-made afghan made July 2001.  I had listed one of the baby afghans on ebay, and this client bought it, and asked about a full-sized afghan.  After a few emails, and a few pictures of the final layout, this is her final result.  She is very pleased with it.  {^;^}

This afghan is bigger than the normal "couch" afghan.  It is gorgeous in white with blended greens and purples to bring a bright contrast.  It measures about 70" x 70" and was given to a friend for her church's auction.
